鈥婣ccessibility Goal
To promote inclusivity and digital access, it is the goal of the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) that the information on the SCCOE website is accessible to all including individuals with visual, auditory, or cognitive disabilities.
Good faith efforts have been made to ensure that the SCCOE site complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). Based on the current website platform's capabilities, the SCCOE has chosen Level AA as the target for the website.
The majority of the pages on the SCCOE site are available in HTML format, which can be deciphered by screen readers. Some documents are in Adobe PDF format, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If users do not already have
Adobe Acrobat Reader on their computer, they can download it for free from the Adobe website. Please note that some pages on the SCCOE website may contain links to third-party sites, which are not within the SCCOE's control and may not comply with accessibility standards. The SCCOE is not responsible for the content or accessibility of third-party sites.
Progress Toward Goal
The SCCOE has taken several measures to improve accessibility of the website including:
- Establishing a central team responsible for driving accessibility efforts
- Offering accessibility training to all content managers
- Using a third-party accessibility auditor to provide automated reports on our progress and areas of improvement
- Conducting routine clean-up and internal audits of webpages

If users are unable to access any page or pages on the site, they are asked to contact the SCCOE by completing the "Contact Us鈥�" form with detailed information on the location of the page or document they are attempting to access.
